Jamesport is a census-designated place and hamlet in the Town of Riverhead in Suffolk County, New York, United States, on Long Island. Total area is 4.5 square miles (11.7 km2), only 0.039 square miles (0.1 km2) is water and the rest (4.5 square miles) is land.
It is situated in the middle of Northville to the north, Aquebogue to the west and Laurel to the east. At the southside of the hamlet is the Great Peconic Bay, home to South Jamesport Beach at Peconic Bay Blvd. Main Road or NY 25 is the only main road that covers west-east direction; it passes through the downtown area.
Jamesport's downtown area is home to antique shops and a few fine restaurants. It is also home to many farms, such as those growing sod, pumpkin, flowers, potatoes, and wineries. North of Jamesport is the hamlet of Northville, which is home to the Jamesport State Park, which a 2010 park master plan called for it to be renamed the "Hallock State Park Preserve". Wineries and vineyards in Jamesport include Jamesport Vineyards/Little Oak Wood Fired Kitchen, Sherwood House Vineyards, Terra Vite North Fork Winery & Vineyard, Jason's Vineyard. Attractions within the hamlet are Jamesport Manor Inn in 370 Manor Ln, and Turtle Rescue Of The Hamptons in 111 Manor Ln, George Young Community Center, Jamesport Meeting House in 1590 Main Rd. Hotels such as Shorewood Inn and Jedediah Hawkins Inn are in the downtown area along Main Rd and S Jamesport Ave respectively.
