Coram /kɔːrəm/ is a hamlet in Suffolk County, New York, in the United States, in Long Island. It covers a total land area of 13.8 square miles (36 km2).
The hamlet is bordered by Mt Sinai in the north, Terryville in the northwest, Selden in the west, Farmingville in southwest, Medford in the south, Gordon Heights in southeast and Middle Island in the east.
Three highways passes through Coram:
Middle Country Road or Route 25 covers west-end direction, Route 112 from south to northwest exiting Port Jefferson Station, and the Patchogue-Mount Sinai Road interchange covering the southwest-northeast direction.
Separating Coram and Mt Sinai in the northern border is Canal Road with a distance of 3.87 mi (6.23 km). At the eastern end of Canal Road (northeast of Coram) is the Washington Memorial Park. From there taking Mt Sinai-Coram Road driving further south for about 2.84 mi (4.57 km) leads to the central area of Coram. At the Route 83 or Patchogue-Mount Sinai Road and Route 112 intersect is the Diamond in the Pines park that belongs within the vicinity of Pine Ridge Golf Club at 2 Golf Course Dr and The Point at Pine Ridge at 1 Avalon Pines Dr. Coram has plenty of residential areas and apartment complexes including Pinewood Village at Coram, Fairfield Townhouses at Coram, Fairfield Village At Coram, Fairfield Townhouses East at Coram, Enclave At Charles Pond Apartments, Fairfield Courtyard at Coram, Village in the Woods, Les Jardin, Fairfield Hills North At Farmingville and Fairfield Hills East At Farmingville. Parks and other attractions such as Bald Hill Cultural Park, Bald Hill Veterans Memorial Hill, Daniel R Davis Nature Sanctuary, Overton Preserve, High Velocity Paintball, Overton Mountain Bike Trails. Davis Town Meeting House is a historical place at 263 Middle Country Rd located in the central area.
