North Massapequa is a hamlet of the town of Oyster Bay, New York, United States, located on Long Island. Massapequa is served by the Plainedge and Farmingdale school districts as well as the Massapequa post office.
North Massapequa has a total area of 3.0 square miles (7.8 km2), with no area being covered by water. It borders Wantagh, North Wantagh, Plainedge, South Farmingdale, Massapequa Park, and Massapequa. Southern State Parkway serves as the main road for the hamlet that intersects with N Broadway that covers the north-south direction. The Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway partially passes through the northwest area. On the opposite side of the hamlet is served by the Bethpage State Parkway.
The Town of Oyster Bay North Massapequa Community Center sits right around N Albany Avenue and N Broadway. The Royal Farm in Farmingdale is located just right at the edge to the north of N Broadway Road, going south it enters and continues to the central area of Massapequa. Plainedge Public Library serves the hamlet located at 1060 Hicksville Rd. Located in the southeast are Massapequa Preserve, Bethpage Bikeway, Mansfield Park, together forming a natural border with Massapequa Park. Other parks within the hamlet include North Massapequa Neighborhood Park, Neighborhood Park Bethpage B20, Plainedge Park, Margret Park. Plainedge Public Schools at 241 Wyngate Dr, Eastplain School at 301 N Delaware Ave and Albany Avenue Elementary School at 101 N Albany Ave are the three schools that serve the hamlet.
