Massapequa (/mæsəˈpiːkwə/, mass-ə-PEEK-wə) is a hamlet and census-designated place in the southern part of the Town of Oyster Bay in southeastern Nassau County, New York, on Long Island, east of New York City. It is located adjacent to Amityville in Suffolk County. It has a total area of 4.0 square miles (10 km2), of which 3.7 square miles (9.6 km2) is land and 0.4 square miles (1.0 km2) is water. 9.20% of the area is covered by water.

New York Route 27 (Sunrise Highway) connecting Brooklyn and Montauk passes through the central area. Merrick Road connecting Seaford from the west and East Massapequa to the east is the main road of the hamlet that runs west-east direction. The main road that runs north from Merrick Road is the Hicksville Road that splits into two roads: Hicksville Road going northwest and Broadway Road to northeast. To the south are two neighborhoods within the hamlet: Biltmore Shores and Harbor Green.

Between Sunrise Highway and Merrick Road lies the Nassau-Suffolk Greenbelt Trail which takes on Massapequa Lake and Massapequa Creek towards north of the trail and ends in Massapequa Preserve at Bethpage Bikeway, Massapequa Park. To the west is another known preserve called Tackapausha Nature Preserve, it is divided between the borders of Seaford and Massapequa. Massapequa School District currently has six elementary schools (Birch Lane, East Lake, Fairfield, Lockhart, Unqua, Mckenna), one middle school (Berner Middle School), one highschool annex (Ames), and one highschool (Massapequa High School). St Rose of Lima R.C. Church is located along Merrick Road at 2 Bayview Ave.

It is serviced by the Massapequa station and Massapequa Park station on the Long Island Rail Road.
