Centereach (/ˈsɛntəritʃ/) is a hamlet and census-designated place in Suffolk County, New York, United States. It has a total area of 8.7 square miles (22.6 km2), all of it being land.
Centereach borders East Setauket, Terryville, Selden, Farmingville, Holtsville, Holbrook, Lake Ronkonkoma, Lake Grove and Stony Brook on Long Island. New York State Route 25 (Middle Country Road) passes through the community and is the primary commercial thoroughfare. Within the southeast portion of the border is occupied by the interchange of Middle Country Road and Suffolk CR 97 (Nicolls Road). Nicolls Road covers north-south direction and bends towards northwest and intersects with NY 347 and serves as the northwest border.
Notable attractions along NY 25 include Tiki Action Park located at 1878 Middle Country Rd, right across is the Centereach Square. Surrounding restaurants are Arby's, Voodoo Crab of Centereach, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, Olive Garden Italian Restaurant, Buffalo Wild Wings, Istanbul Cafe, and White Castle. Schools throughout the hamlet include Jericho Elementary School, North Coleman Road Elementary, Dawnwood Middle School, Oxhead Road Elementary School, and Suffolk County Community College Automotive Technology Building. Several places of worship such as Centereach Bible Church, Our Savior Lutheran Church, Centereach Church. Parks such as Centereach Park, Levitt Ballfield Park and Levitt Softball Field can be reached by taking Nicolls Road then north on Wireless Road; Percy B Raynor Memorial Park is accessible from NY 347.
