Originally built by architect Stanford White for Charles A. Stetson in 1887, this impressive property was renamed "Sans Souci" by the wealthy owner who bought it from Mr. Stetson's widow in 1902 (after he died). The name means "without care" or "no worries," a sentiment evoked by its spectacular beauty.
