In Bayport, New York, United States, Bayport-Blue Point High School is a high school which serves students in grades 6 through 12. Built in 1927, it was intended as an elementary and high school for the Hamlet of Bayport. Bayport Point High School has been serving the towns of Bayport and Blue Point for since it was built. This school is part of the same Union Free School District, along with three elementary schools (Academy Street, Blue Point, and Sylvan Avenue) and one middle school (James Wilson Young Middle School).

In its original form, the school had only one building built in 1927, which was successively extended in the 1940s and 1960s.

A bond referendum passed by the Bayport-Blue Point school district in March 2003 provided significant upgrades to the high school. New auditoriums were built during the 2003-2004 school year, and music rooms were renovated as well. New additions to the school include a new front entrance, enlarged cafeteria, and ten new classrooms during the 2004-2005 school year. The gym underwent significant upgrades during the 2005-2006 school year, which included the addition of an auxiliary gymnasium that was a bit smaller, a new weight room, and a secondary gymnasium lobby. In 2006-2007, the bond, which cost $35.5 million and added approximately 50,000 square feet of additional space, was completed by the end of the school year.

The Bayport-Blue Point school district, including James Wilson Young Middle School, will get $29.9 million to upgrade and improve infrastructure including adding a track and making athletic fields artificial turf.

With 927 votes in favor of the bond and 732 voting against, the Building Toward the Future bond passed in Tuesday's special election.

New York State Building Aid will fund 68.2% of the project, according to the district. An additional $12.70 will be added to each $1,000 of a homeowner's total annual tax bill over the bond's life.

"This bond was developed over the course of nearly two years in collaboration with members of our community, and I thank all residents and community groups for their contributions throughout the process," district board of education president Tony Sanseviro said in a statement. We believe that the bond between the two institutions will positively affect our students, both present and future, as well as our community.
