East Quogue, originally settled in 1673 as Fourth Neck, is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in Suffolk County, New York, United States. East Quogue is in the town of Southampton. It has a total area of 11.5 square miles (29.9 km2), of which 8.9 square miles (23.0 km2) is land and 2.7 square miles (7.0 km2), or 23.23%, is water.
The Sunrise Highway or NY 27 serves the hamlet forming a natural border to the north separating Flanders and East Quogue. Within the northwest tip of the border sits the Westhampton Dwarf Pine Plains Preserve, it is surrounded by Old Riverhead Rd to the west, Quogue Riverhead Road to the east and Sunrise Highway passing through it which intersects with both Old Riverhead Rd and Quogue Riverhead Road to each side.
SPORTIME Quogue is only about 1.15 mi (1.85 km) from Westhampton Dwarf Pine Plains Preserve. Near the central area is the Amelia Cottage Museum at Montauk Hwy, adjacent to East Quogue Elementary School on Central Ave. Other places along the Montauk Hwy are Deli Delight, Goldberg's Famous Bagels, Stone Creek Inn, East Quogue Pizza & Deli, Tony's Asian Fusion, Centro Trattoria & Bar. There are also hotels such as Carole's Place B & B, Shearwater Inn, Best Eastern Motel. Parks and other attractions in the hamlet include Squires Beach, Pine Neck Sanctuary, East Quogue Marine Park, East Quogue Park, Oakwood Cemetery and Henry's Hollow Pine Barrens State Forest.
