It's a new concept that celebrates the art of painting and the art of wine, Muse Paintbar is located at 837 Franklin Avenue in a part of Garden City. The Muse Paintbar is the perfect place for artists and non-artists alike. With their artists and non-artists, they paint paintings in a warm and welcoming setting that lets them get to know each other while having fun and celebrating life's milestones.

Stan Finch, president and co-founder, as well as Vanessa Leigh, co-founder and lead artist, oversee Muse and collaborate with a number of artists from the Long Island area. “Muse is a great community that inspires people to share their passions and create art in a relaxed environment," said Leigh. "Art can be intimidating, but we break down barriers by providing simple directions that allow people to gain confidence. By the end of the session, they've had fun and can take home an original work of art."

Whether you're looking for an after-work relaxation spot, a girls' night out, a birthday party or a bachelorette party, company team building or a first date, Muse Paintbar got you covered. Muse's couple's paintings, helping you and your partner create a joint painting and hang two matching canvases, also put Muse on the map for anniversaries or romantic date nights. There are three to four painting sessions a month for families, which feature family participation.

The participant can sign up online by visiting, clicking on Garden City's page, scrolling through the online calendar, and registering. Weekend sessions, fundraisers, special events, or special sessions may cost more than the typical $35 per person. In addition to donating five percent to charities, the company partners with local suppliers.

At Muse Paintbar, guests need to simply show up after signing up and have fun. The painted location provides an array of acrylic paints, a selection of brushes, and a canvas, along with an apron. Artists lead guests from blank canvas to a finished masterpiece that can be displayed or gifted and they do not need any artistic background or skill. The restaurant has an extensive choice of food, wine, and beer for guests to enjoy while painting.

Besides Garden City, studios are expected to open in the next few months in Port Jefferson, Port Washington and Tribeca. In October 2014, the very first Muse Paintbar on Long Island, 34 Middle Neck Road in Great Neck, opened its doors.
