Are you tired of your carpet looking soiled and dirty?  If so, you might wanna take into account dry carpet cleaning as an option. This is a "dry" cleaning service, as its name suggests. Our carpet cleaning service uses specialized equipment to remove dirt and stains without wetting the carpet. Generally, this is the best choice if you have carpet in an area which is not suitable for wet cleaning. Or maybe a commercial setting, carpets are required around the clock.

We will utilize a special cleaner combined with a special cleaning compound designed for dry carpet cleaning to clean your carpet. That's better for your carpets, too. What's all this? Due to the fact that the method is water-free, you are not at risk of mold and mildew that can be present with wet carpet cleaning. However, the outcome remains the same, stain-free and soil-free carpets.

The dry cleaning process is also fast. Obviously, the time it takes will vary depending on the size of the area, but it should be noted that a small apartment typically takes about an hour, while a four-bedroom house will take about two hours to complete.

Dry Carpet Cleaning Service

Ellis Carpet Cleaning has been ensuring our customer's carpets are kept clean by using dry carpet cleaning for more than 30 years. We recommend having your carpets dry cleaned every six to twelve months. Here's our process for dry cleaning:

Step #1 - Vacuum
Before we dry clean your carpets, we’ll vacuum. In essence, vacuuming removes dust, dirt, and other particles from carpet fibres that might otherwise stain your carpet during the dry cleaning process.

Step #2 - Apply the Cleaning Compound
A specialized cleaning compound is evenly applied to the carpets. The compound is then brushed over the carpet to assist in its penetration. In this way, the cleaners can reach deep into the carpet and get rid of all the dirt and grime present there.

How does this process take place? Well, once the cleaning compound has been applied, it transforms into crystallized power. Dirt, grime, germs, and bacteria in your carpet adhere to this crystallized power.

We allow the compound to sit for some time. By doing so, the compound can absorb the maximum amount of dirt.

Step #3 - Attend to Stains
We will then treat any stains on your carpet that require additional work. Using a thistle brush, we work the compound deeply into the fabric in order to ensure that stains are removed. When vacuumed, this compound helps to keep the stain attached to the powder.

Step #4 - Vacuum the Compound
Lastly, we vacuum the carpet to remove the cleaning powder compound. If the powder does its duty, and it will, the first round will remove a substantial amount of dirt from your carpet leaving it very clean.

Step #5 - Repeat
Those stubborn areas of the carpet will undergo a second round of the cleaning process. This process is repeated until all stubborn areas have been addressed.

What Are the Benefits of Using a Dry Cleaning Process
Several benefits are associated with dry cleaning.

No Dry Time
There is no water or moisture used during the dry cleaning process. We instead use powders to clean the carpet and leave it dry. In this case, there is no need to rinse. Thus, there is no drying time involved. When we are done, you can put the carpet to use right away. In the event that you wish to clean your carpets quickly, or need to due to the particular situation where the carpet is located, then this is a highly recommended method.

Assume that you hold an event in the morning and that you need to clean the carpet due to several stains, but you have another event scheduled for the afternoon. In this case, you will find a dry carpet cleaning method to be highly beneficial, because you will be able to proceed with removing the stains during those two events.

No Residue, No Mold and No Shampoo
No liquid is used. As opposed to other carpet cleaning processes, where there is often a risk of leaving behind residue that can breed germs and mold if the carpet is not properly dried.

In general, shampoo removes dirt and dust by pulling them to itself. Typically, shampoos are difficult to remove from carpets. There may be some residual residue left behind. This leads to more dust accumulating on the carpet rather than keeping it clean. Furthermore, there are no residues left after dry cleaning, as the cleaning agent is a dry powder which is vacuumed up.

Permanent Stain Removal
During cleaning, the stains will be removed. Struggling to remove stains and spots? The stains are easy to remove, as we simply add extra powder until the stain disappears. It is possible for stains to hide behind damp carpets only to become visible when the carpet dries. There is no water involved in dry cleaning, which means this is not possible.

Health Benefits
Once we vacuum the powder, dust and dirt are completely sucked out. In most cases, dust in the air aggravates allergies and asthma symptoms in people who suffer from them. It is unhealthy to breathe dust even if you don't have any health issues. With our dry cleaning equipment, we ensure that your carpet is clean and dust-free once we are done.

Dry Cleaned Carpets Last Longer
Steam cleaning with water involves several processes that are quite harsh to carpets. Thus, the fibre gets soft and loose. Dry cleaning does not alter the carpet's structure. It'll make your carpet look fresh and last a long time.

When Should Dry Cleaning Be Used
Dry carpet cleaning may be your best option if you suffer from allergies or asthma. Because no water is used, there is no risk of mold from a carpet that never dries out properly.

It can also be useful if the carpet needs to be used promptly. With our cleaning system, there is no drying time. Additionally, if you live in an apartment, condo or a hard-to-reach area, it is very likely that you will only be able to get dry carpet cleaning due to the heavy equipment needed for other cleaning methods.

Do You Recommend DIY Dry Cleaning

The reason is not just about getting your business; it's also not highly recommended. In general, we discourage you from trying to clean your carpets yourself for the reason that carpets are very delicate. Apparently, the damage was done by dry cleaning when you made a mistake. When you hire a professional dry cleaner, you are guaranteed decades of experience and the mental satisfaction of knowing that the job will be done correctly.

How Often Should You Have Your Carpets Professionally Dry Cleaned
You should take into consideration a variety of factors, such as the number of people who live in your house, whether anyone smokes inside, the age of your carpet, whether shoes are worn on the carpet, and how often you vacuum. You should also keep in mind that if you have a pet, you will have pet stains even if you can't see them.

But you should at least dry clean your carpets a few times a year as a bare minimum. There are a variety of factors as indicated above that may lead to you having your carpets dry cleaned more frequently. Especially if you meet all of the above-mentioned criteria, Ellis Carpet Cleaning recommends cleaning at least twice a year.
